An "H" monogram printed canvas and calf leather folio by Hermès. This fabulous piece was part of a collection of monogrammed pieces that the luxury French atelier launched in the 1970's which included bags and small leather goods. The piece found here is a slip folio for paperwork, but could also carry a laptop or large iPod easily. The case contains no zip, it simply folds down to help reveal contents. The very supple calf leather would protect a screen, so is idea to carry a larger tablet like device also.
The case is made in the finest leathers and a great quality printed canvas still in superb condition. The turned leather edge helps to protect the canvas from wear, and is in excellent condition throughout. There is an applied leather detail in the top corner that could be used for monogramming if desired. It is currently free of initials. The monogrammed print itself is quite rare for Hermès, and has not made a comeback since its introduction.
The Inside of the folio is embossed with gold foil in the middle left interior. Made in France, circa 1970's.
